Now that I have finally figured out how to blog and navigate my way around my website I am trying to catch up on publishing things. Today I am posting about our other pets that I haven’t been able to post before. This is Violet our Northern Blue Tongued Skink. She is a little bigger than 24 in. longer. She comes from Austrailia.

Obi sure is growing up. He recently turned one and is more spunky than ever. He is learning things super fast. He is the first puppy that I have ever had, and I am so pleased with him. Obi will start puppy preschool in a few weeks. I hope that he will do so well in the class that he can eventually advance to agility in the future. I don’t think that I will have him compete, but just do the classes for fun. I might even make a course in the back yard.

This project was thought to be a great idea, but it turned out that it didn’t work so well. I have a white shirt that is a 3/4 length sleeve. I thought that these would be really nice long and for fitting. But it ends up that I am almost as irritated by cashmere, even 100% as the best wool there is. I have yet to find an animal fiber that I can wear. I will probably use these for a Christmas present, long coffee mug warmer, or save them for Bex to wear someday as arm warmers. Guess it’s still acryllic, nylon, and cotton for me!

One of the last things I made from the shirt. This is a small bag to hold a skein of sock yarn wound on the ball winder while you knit from it. Keeps it safe from getting dirty or lets you hold it on your wrist to knit at a group where there are no tables. These are so much fun to make! I also form my bottoms so that the balls of yarn sit nicely inside. This is the smaller verson of the bag. Additionally, I make a medium and large version. The medium and large version come with a cotton (high quality quilting fabric) liner and a pocket.

Another project from the beloved two shirts. I made this reversable in case you have an outfit that one side would go with better. The small pocket has a zipper so that nothing falls out inside or out. This is a smaller version of the courderoy purse also posted here.
