Bias Scarf

This is an easy knit scarf that is good for practicing increases and decreases.

Supplies:
Size 9 needles
100 to 200 yds. worsted weight yarn depending on desired length (I used 100 yds. of recycled pure silk)

inc = knit in front and back of stitch to increase

Pattern:
Cast on 3 sts.
Row 1: k.
Row 2: inc. 1, k1, inc 1.
Row 3: k.
Increase Row: Continue to increase first and last st. only knitting in between sts.
Alternate Increase Row and plain knit row until 25 sts. are on the needle.

Body of Scarf:
Row 1: Increase first st. (kfb). k to last two sts. k2 tog.
Row 2: k (mark as right side row).
Alternate rows 1 and 2 until desired length (end with right side row completed).

Finishing Scarf:
Row 1: k2 tog. k to last 2 sts. k2 tog.
Row 2: k.
Alternate rows 1 and 2 until 3 sts. left.

Bind off last 3 sts. Weave in ends.

Men’s Ribbed Scarf

Ribbed Men's Scarf

This easy, ribbed scarf only takes one skein of yarn!

Supplies:
1 skein Dark Horse Fantasy
Size 9 knitting needles

Pattern:
Cast on 30 sts.
Row 1: k2, p2 repeat until end.
Row 2: p2, k2 repeat until end.
Alternate rows 1 and 2 until desired length.
Bind off sts. and weave in all ends.
