I pulled this yarn out of a sweater that I bought awhile ago! I hadn’t had the guts to rip it out before now, because I didn’t have a pattern to use it with. I finally found a pattern for a shrug that I really like, and I look forward to starting it sometime this weekend. Oh, did I mention the sweater? It was way too big and too long for me, and it had a ton of fringe on the end of the sleeves. I couldn’t do anything wearing this sweater, because the sleeves were about four inches too long! Let’s just say it’s quite a bit smaller now.

Finally, I am done with my blanket!  I think that it will become a Christmas present since we don’t have red, white, and blue in our house - mostly just blue and purple.  On the left side of the picture, there’s a red end that I hadn’t yet woven in.

I am thinking of starting a knit teddy bear for my next project and trying to knit him a sweater to wear, too.  Actually, I think that it will end up being a “her” because I only have pink self-striping yarn that is thin enough for a teddy bear sweater.

Friday was a weird day at the Yarn Shop. We attribute this to the full solar and lunar eclipse that we are having all in one year!!! I haven’t got much knitting done this week, but I really don’t care. I have spent my knitting time with my new puppy!  And if you know me as a knitter you would know that is a big deal.  ALL of my free time is spent knitting…..ALL of it.

I did manage to get some work done on the feather and fan blanket, though. What do you think?

A couple of days ago, I mentioned the feather and fan blanket that I’m working on. It’s coming along nicely! I wanted to post a pic so you could see how it looks so far.

Sunday, I started working on a feather and fan blanket for who knows It is coming along, but I don’t think the pattern will make it as large as it says that it will. I completed a white strip, a red small strip, and I am starting on the blue strip.

When finished, this will be my 5 completed Christmas presents for 2008!

I’m trying to figure out what to do with some of this yarn to bust into my stash and reduce some of the yarn that I have. I probably have enough yarn to knit for a whole year non-stop!
