Easy Peasy Fingerless Mitts
Posted by Jen on Tuesday Mar 1, 2011 Under Free PatternsWhat a wonderful project to start of the new year of knitting! Very simple for the beginner and a super quick knit for all you more experienced knitters at just around 2 hours per mitt. I really love these and will be making several more for gifts throughout the year. I hope you will join me in doing the same. Don’t forget to post all your pictures Ravelry lovers

I just cast these on tonight and I’m trying to work through the cable instructions. I’m a bit confused about the part starting at “Join in the round…” through the cable pattern. If I understand this correctly, you’ve written the cable pattern twice? And is the actual cable pattern three rows: k2 p2, k2 p2 (k2 tog, don’t take off, knit first stitch, take both sts off together) p2, k2 p2 so that there are two rows of k2 p2 back to back?
My name on ravelry is mtualumnus so you can answer me there too.
These look great and I can’t wait to get them finished!

I love this pattern!! I’m a newbie knitter and I am lost a little as I read thru… “Round 3: k2, p2, (K2 tog, don’t take off, knit first stitch, take both sts off together), p2″ I know how to do all of these stitches, but I get lost afterthe k2 tog.. Help! I really want to make these!

These are really cute but I am confused by this…
Cable Pattern:
Row 1: K2 p2 across the 1 DPN
Is it just a k2p2 in the round? Please let me know.
Sorry, if it is a dumb question, I have never seen this before.
Thanks!
