Lynda’s Vest

Posted by Jen on Monday Feb 28, 2011 Under Free Patterns

I customized this pattern for a friend off of the cable sweater that I knit. I only have the pattern written in one size (40 in) but it could be blocked bigger if knit in super wash wool, because the cables stretch a bit. Also you could leave out a cable repeat in each of the front panels, and in the back section to make it smaller. I haven’t tried doing that so I am not sure it would work out just right, but the concept works in my head :) This pattern is now available for download!  Please click the link below to download the file.

Thank you for offering this pattern – it is my size too so I won’t have to “think” as much. I have several yarns in my stash that would work for this so look forward to getting the pattern and try it out.

I have been looking all over for a zippered v-neck vest pattern to knit. And your cable pattern fits the bill. I am going to try adapting yours, if you wouldn’t mind eMailing it to me. It will be a challenge because I need to make it a 34 bust & I’d rather use a lighter yarn like sport or DK. If I am successful, I will eMail you back my adjustments. Thank you.

I would love it if you adapted the pattern and sent me the changes. I will email you the pattern right away. I am also going to work on posting this pattern on my website due to the increased volume of people asking for it.
