Knitters’ Row

These socks were knit with the Noro Pattern.  I decided to use Encore worsted weight for the pattern though because it is much cheaper and much softer.  It is the same gauge and same size needles.  I was not pleased with the outcome of them because the pattern is for a woman’s foot size 8 and these fit a man’s foot size 12 with room to spare!!  I bought the pattern book just for this pattern, so I will have to alter it some if I decide to knit it again.  Also the pattern is not too clear when it comes to the heel.  This is knit on strait needles and was the first sock that I ever knit.

I have no idea how to quilt, so this is my humble attempt at doing so.  I have sewn squares together to make throws and such, but I wanted something a little more in depth.  I came across a bunch of fabric that my MIL didn’t want any more and I wanted to put it to good use.  I took strips and I hand sewn them together after weaving them in and out of each other and pinning a LOT.   This took more time than I think taking a proper quilting class would have taken because where all the sections meet are sewn by hand.  We are all too scared to put this in the wash as we think that it may fall apart, so it is just a decoration for now.

This is a purse that I have wanted for a long time.  Hubbs helped me to design the pattern.  There is a lot of hand sewing that goes into it, but well worth the time and effort.  I would like to make another smaller later on.

I am sooooo bad about keeping up about posting.  I just get so into knitting that I even forget to take pics.  I usually knit something and it is out the door before I even realize that I have knit it.  I need to do a better job of taking pics and posting them I guess.

This week I will be working on adding new patterns, although I haven’t figured out how to get them posted on Ravelry just yet.  Maybe I can figure that out too.
