Nicholas

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

You all know the famous Nicholas and his custom knit sweater.  I hope that everyone that has knit this for their piggy has enjoyed the fun as much as I have!  Nicholas just turned 2 and is just as cuddly as ever.  He was just moved into the play room so that he can be with everyone during the day.  I think he likes the extra attention.

Duke aka Mom’s Baby

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

This is Duke, our first ever dog.  He is a rescue and a sweet heart.  He is a Lab and Hound mix.  Very smart, but also very much the personality of Eeyore!

Violet

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

Now that I have finally figured out how to blog and navigate my way around my website I am trying to catch up on publishing things.  Today I am posting about our other pets that I haven’t been able to post before.  This is Violet our Northern Blue Tongued Skink.  She is a little bigger than 24 in. longer.  She comes from Austrailia.

Growing Up Obi

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

Obi sure is growing up.   He recently turned one and is more spunky than ever.  He is learning things super fast.  He is the first puppy that I have ever had, and I am so pleased with him.  Obi will start puppy preschool in a few weeks.  I hope that he will do so well in the class that he can eventually advance to agility in the future.  I don’t think that I will have him compete, but just do the classes for fun.  I might even make a course in the back yard.

Cashmere Arm Warmers

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

This project was thought to be a great idea, but it turned out that it didn’t work so well.  I have a white shirt that is a 3/4 length sleeve.  I thought that these would be really nice long and for fitting.  But it ends up that I am almost as irritated by cashmere, even 100% as the best wool there is.  I have yet to find an animal fiber that I can wear.  I will probably use these for a Christmas present, long coffee mug warmer, or save them for Bex to wear someday as arm warmers.  Guess it’s still acryllic, nylon, and cotton for me!
