Stocking Hat
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009I knit this hat from Mission Falls 1824 Wool. Superwash and pretty nice to work with. The pattern, on the other hand was not too great. It shorted me 200 yds on the yarn. I still can’t figure that part out. Oh well, it is warm and works well. Although because of the time it takes to make this I will probably not make it again.
I did, however, learn from this project how to change colors in the round without having a stair step effect of the colors. You simply slip the first stitch of the round after you have knit one round with the new color. On the second time around you just knit as normal. It works like a charm.
